What is Run for a Reason?
Run for a Reason is the official charity partner program for the Chevron Houston Marathon. Each year, 60+ local charity organizations become partners as a way to raise support for their missions. Members of the community who are interested in participating in the full marathon, half marathon or 5K are encouraged to make their miles matter through representing a charity and fundraising on their behalf as they prepare to run. We'd love to have you join Team Avondale House!
Participation options:
Run for a Reason- Fundraise for Registration
Join Team Avondale House for the Chevron Houston Marathon or Aramco Half Marathon and commit to raising a minimum of $500. Avondale House pays your registration fee. Click here to register as a fundraiser.
Hero Entry
Be a HERO by making a one-time tax-deductible donation of at least $350 plus the cost of registration (Marathon: $140 / Half Marathon: $125) to Team Avondale House. *No additional fundraising required! Click here to donate for registration and be a HERO!
5k Entry

Corporate Partnership Program
Corporations can show their support for local charity organizations by becoming official corporate partners for the Chevron Houston Marathon. Individual Fundraising Perks:
